Herbs and salad are essential in any kitchen. Due to the delicate nature of these products, freshness is key. To ensure freshness we actively control our stocks to keep them at a minimum ensuring freshness and shelf life in the customers kitchen. We are fortunate to be located next to some fantastic growers who ensure we are stocked up with local salad and leaf when in season. Out of the UK summer season we source local winter leaf such as radicchio and oak leaf directly from farms around Europe giving us a year round supply.

Meet our Growers – The Herbary, Shouldham

The Herbary is a fantastic farm located in the village of Shouldham. Karen Vallance grows a range of baby leaf salads and herbs during the summer months and imports during the winter from their partner farms in Europe. The Herbary is a LEAF accredited farm meaning they take their environmental responsibilities very seriously. The farm is only 5 miles away from us at Alfie’s which means a super short supply chain, keeping our salad products seriously fresh.
